Easy and Healthy DIY Jaggery Rice Creme Brulee recipe for Makar Sankranti & Lohri by Vranda Gupta, 1st-year student of MHMCT from Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management.
Ingredients:
- Milk -500ml
- Rice – 60 gm
- Raisin – 50 gm
- Jaggery syrup – 100ml
- Fresh Cream – 100 ml
- Castor Sugar – To sprinkle
- Cherry – For garnishing
Recipe:
- Boil the milk.
- Add roughly crushed soaked rice and raisins.
- Once the rice is fully cooked, keep it aside for cooling.
- After cooling, add Jaggery syrup and fresh cream and mix it well.
- Put the mixture in a small clay bowl and sprinkle castor sugar on top.
- Put the clay bowl in a Pre-Heated oven (200ºC) for caramelisation.
- Take out from the oven and garnish with a cherry and serve hot.
