Easy & Healthy Jaggery Rice Creme Brulee Recipe for Lohri & Makar Sankranti

Easy and Healthy DIY Jaggery Rice Creme Brulee recipe for Makar Sankranti & Lohri by Vranda Gupta, 1st-year student of MHMCT from Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management.

Ingredients:

  • Milk -500ml
  • Rice – 60 gm
  • Raisin – 50 gm
  • Jaggery syrup – 100ml
  • Fresh Cream – 100 ml
  • Castor Sugar – To sprinkle
  • Cherry – For garnishing

 

Recipe: 

  • Boil the milk.
  • Add roughly crushed soaked rice and raisins.
  • Once the rice is fully cooked, keep it aside for cooling.
  • After cooling, add Jaggery syrup and fresh cream and mix it well.
  • Put the mixture in a small clay bowl and sprinkle castor sugar on top.
  • Put the clay bowl in a Pre-Heated oven (200ºC) for caramelisation.
  • Take out from the oven and garnish with a cherry and serve hot.
